Golf is more than a sport.
It's a contest that takes place in your head and on the course against yourself and your competitors. Golf is an adventure and opportunity to see some of the most amazing real estate on the planet. Competing can take place under any condition and you have to be prepared and have the right equipment. Your skill in adverse weather is just as important as when it's gorgeous.
Golf is more popular today than ever . . . . many people believe because of one man . . . Tiger Woods. But Tiger, as great as he has been for the game of golf is just another in a long line of great golfers: Jack Nicklaus, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, Cary Middlecoff, Bobby Jones, Lee Trevino, Tommy Armour, Walter Hagen and on and on and then there's some pretty great women players like Patty Berg, Mickey Wright, Babe Didrikson and Nancy Lopez. I'm forgetting others from Europe and Australia but to say the least, golf is a great game. And you get to see some of the world's most beautiful landscapes that no one but other golfers get to see.
It's an exclusive game and it's an open game. Very few play Muirfield (Scotland) or Cypress Point (Pebble Beach) but they are just a few of the many thousands of golf courses available to play around the world.
